Bread Large loaf
Vegan? YES
Ingredients:

1lb bread flour
1 sachet dried yeast
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
1 fl oz vegetable oil
9 fl oz water

Method:

Use a bread machine to do the hard work. Put all ingredients in the machine and put it on the dough setting.
Pre heat oven to gas mark 6. Shape the dough into required shape and put on a floured baking tray, leave to rise for 30 minutes, and cook for about 35-40 minutes.
Cooking in an oven will give a nicer shape and crust than cooking in the bread machine for only a little more effort.

Variations:

Use wholemeal and white flour in variable proportions; just make sure they add up to 1 lb in total. If using predominately wholemeal flour add a little more water and leave to rise a little longer.
Add seeds (poppy, sunflour, pumpkin, sesame) to the mixture and sprinkle some on top.
Add black pepper.

Serve:
Fresh bread, hot from the oven is lovely with home-made soup.
